Honor and joy for me to meet him! A great writer, a modern philosopher, a simple man! His lyrics are simple and concise, full of emotion, they seduce you. Studying his work, I felt that Vasilis Pappas continues the renewal of Hellenism, as poetically created by Odysseas Elytis. His poems renew the image of Greece as a visionary world, a new "Small World", a new "Great World". Just as Elytis gave a new proposal of Greekness to the world public when the Great Idea died in the Greek public, so Vasilis Pappas proposes the historical memory and the sweet, instantaneous modern Greek as an answer to the Greek crisis, to the ideological modern Greek vacuum !! His pen musks a Greek soul, they write. And not only! What I wish from the bottom of my heart is to continue healthy and sweet with the sensitivity that possesses him to stand out and to be his soul clean and alive, as it is now !! Dearest Vasilis Pappas, thank you for the honor !! Rania LYMPEROPOULOU, Author Member of the Messinian Writers' Association
